What is NARFE?
If your not familiar with the name, here's a brief explanation.
It's an organization you may have wished you had. One that's looking out for your interests on Capitol Hill — especially in today's uncertain times for federal workers and retirees.
NARFE is a national nonprofit association of federal employees and federal retirees. NARFE is not a union.
NARFE is an advocate for both active and retired federal employees before Congress and the White House. Its mission is to safeguard and enhance your federal employee health benefits, retirement benefits, and pay issues.
The NARFE Association pursues its legislative agenda with federally registered advocates (aka lobbyists) to promote its positions before Congress and the White House.
Chapter members also act as advocates by personally contacting their local congressional senators and representatives to support passage of federal legislation that benefits federal employees and federal retirees.
NARFE has some 310,000 members. And it's been active on the national scene since 1921.
NARFE has years of experience on Capitol Hill and in federal agencies that have made NARFE a respected name among members of Congress and a key player in the federal community.
Mike Causey popular radio columnists on Federal News Radio in Washington, DC talks about NARFE and why NARFE is important to you.
